This is a photo of two 13 year cicadas that I think is cool. The one on the left has hatched and has matured, while the other has just emerged and is still white, hanging on it's shell. Isn't nature awesome! This photo was taken on May 19, 2011, in our front yard, as the 13 year cicada outbreak was just beginning. The piece of wood is a wheelbarrow handle. Wasn't the cicada hatching an awesome happening this year!?
